So many people feel like they have to shop at Whole Foods to buy quality vegetarian products, but ALDI is my secret weapon! In fact, I’ve shopped there more in the last 9 months of my family’s foray into the land of vegetarianism than I have in the last 5 years total.
I’ve found you can really save a ton on quality “staple” vegetarian items (most of which are ORGANIC!).
I’ve found that cooking vegetarian for my family can be expensive, but there are 10 vegetarian deals at Aldi that help keep that budget in check!
Top 10 Vegetarian Picks
My TOP 10 hits the pantry staples, the frozen section, fresh produce, and even dairy!

#1: Simply Nature Organic Frozen Berries (Strawberry or Blueberry)
Now, I do love to buy the giant bag of frozen blueberries at Costco, but these beauties are ORGANIC. So, when I’m out of my standard, this is where I get my organic values! We use these in everything from Yogurt Blueberry Muffins to smoothies. This is a staple you’ll ALWAYS find in my freezer.
#2: Simply Nature Organic Spring Mix
(Also comes in arugula & spinach mix, or Baby Spinach). Greens go in everything at my house, and I try to always keep two types of greens in the fridge on any given day. But, that gets pricey. Aldi definitely helps keep the budget in check if you like your salads!

#3: Park Street Deli Hummus
Taste of Home did a taste test and this ranked second on their list! I got this on sale at Aldi last week for $1. YES. One. Dollar. My youngest eats this by the spoonful, so we always grab a tub when we’re at Aldi.
#4: Priano Gnocchi
This Gnocchi comes in a variety of flavors like spinach or whole wheat, and it was just $1.79 at Aldi this week (like the Almost All Aldi blog confirms)! Who doesn’t love gnocchi? Toddlers, teens and everyone in between will eat these little pillows of love. No meat required!

#5: Nuts
I usually get the plain cashews for use in the “vegan alfredo” recipe I’m just obsessed with these days. Aldi has loads of other nuts (almonds, walnuts, etc.) that are great for just snacking, too! Gotta keep that protein up!
#6: Nut Butter (Simply Nature Almond Butter)
is a great find. Plus, it’s organic! It’s always going to be cheaper to grab a jar or two of these butters at Aldi instead of getting them at the other chain groceries.

#7: Knock Your Sprouts Off – Simply Nature Bread
This is a deal! If you’re trying to add sprouted foods into your diet, then this bread can save you some dough! (Pun intended!) It runs for around $3.99, and most others will cost you double that. So, buy one for now & freeze the second! (FYI: frozen bread thaws beautifully).
#8: Canned Organic Beans and Organic Canned Tomatoes
These are absolute staples in my semi-vegetarian household. I always pile these in the buggy at Aldi because you’ll easily pay much more for organic canned veggies anywhere else!

#9: Organic Greek Yogurt
Okay, so we’re not practicing to be vegans, so dairy is definitely on our list of must haves. We use yogurt just about daily. You just can’t beat Aldi’s price on organic, whole fat, greek yogurt.
#10: Quinoa by Simply Nature
I’m not sure when quinoa got ridiculously expensive, but Aldi helps solve your super food’s over indulgent nature. You won’t have to commit to a HUGE bag from Costco either to save some money on this pantry goodie. Just go to Aldi!
Veggie Moms, Grab Your Deals!
If you’re not an Aldi shopper, then this may persuade you to jump on the bandwagon! If you already drank the Kool-Aid, then hopefully this will show you how many bonus finds there REALLY are for cooking vegetarian for your family.
Aldi, obviously, has loads of other deals on staples we use like cheese, snacks, and even organic herbs. We even love to get their take and bake pizzas ($6).
But, my TOP 10 are definitely items that you should purchase at Aldi if you’re trying to keep your budget in check while attempting to make this whole vegetarian world workable within your budget!
