Journals are EVERYWHERE! But, a lot of people still find journaling just LAME. I know! I used to feel the exact same way. But, there’s a reason why pre-teen and teen girls love a good journal—it’s cathartic! It works like cheap, cheap therapy! That’s why I’ve put together this list of journals that all moms would love to unwrap this Christmas (or any other time of year)!
Head’s up–some of these use colorful language. You’ve been warned. (And, you’re welcome).
If you’re looking for something thoughtful to gift your mom, wife, bestie (or self!) this Christmas, then these 5 Journals are not going to disappoint!
Must Have Journals on My Xmas List
Zen as F*uck: A Journal for Practicing the Mindful Art of Not Giving a Sh*t
Oh, I love this journal! I’ve been wanting to purchase it since I laid eyes on it! But, I am going to save it for my Christmas wish list. This is going under my “something to read” list this year! I mean, come on–getting this under the tree will totally make your (insanely early) Christmas morning manageable!
Fuck This Shit Show: A Gratitude Journal for Tired-Ass Women (Cuss Words Make Me Happy)
For when you’re just trying to get through the grind of the crazy kids, dinner, and all night nursing….this one’s for you. This little journal can help you work on those gratitude skills even when, well, you’re just one tired-ass woman. Plus, I love their style! Cuss words make me happy, too!
I wish I could’ve had this journal three years ago. It would’ve helped me gain clarity about moving forward in the life I wanted. But, this year, it’s on my list because I think it is so important to stay connected to where your goals are taking you. Sometimes it’s hard to “see the forest for the trees,” and I love how this journal keeps you focused on you.
The One-Minute Gratitude Journal
I am always looking for new ways to re-center myself. But, I also have a life that is filled with chaos and change. Every day seems different than the last! So, it can be difficult to stick to a routine. I have to go with the flow (which is HARD for me). This one minute gratitude journal can go anywhere–it’s small & light. So, I can even throw this in my big-ass mama purse for use at carpool. One minute a day. That’s a painless way to practice mindfulness!
Rage Page: A Journal for the Bad Days
Bad days are 100% inevitable. Whether you’re dealing with the SAHM grind, or working 9-5 then coming home to even more demands–this one is for you! Actually, I’m getting this for my husband and ME. He needs this almost more than I do these days. Useful, funny, and a pressure release all in one? This is gonna be the gift that keeps on giving all year long!
Journalling for Purpose
What I love about a good journal is how you can look back on it and see how you made it through some crazy shit and survived. They also help keep you grounded and give clarity.
Sometimes you have to get all that stuff out of your head to actually make sense of it. That’s what journals do. These are totally mom’s little helpers!
Any of these would be a perfect gift to give a mom in your tribe! Inexpensive and thoughtful….go on and rock this Christmas momma:)
