During the holidays, I can feel like a ticking time bomb. It’s a lot of pressure that we put on ourselves, our families, and our kids to keep the magic flowing. But, there’s a SUPER quick AND reliable Self-Care Challenge that can keep your frustration levels in check this Christmas. The secret to de-stressing is so simple, and you can put this holiday stress reliever into action TODAY!
If you need a quick & easy plan to shake off the holiday stress, decompress your entire vibe, AND actually BRING the happiness into your holiday, then this self-care holiday challenge is A MUST!

Mommy Magic Burnout
It happens every year: the Thanksgiving warm-up to the Christmas season. Which is just a holiday pre-game of eating, traveling, drinking, shopping, more eating, and baking.
Inevitably, that pre-game rolls straight into the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. And, before you know it, you’re 2 months into non-stop eating, packing, shopping, traveling, baking, and creating the magic of the holidays with ZERO effort put into your own wellbeing.
That ALWAYS leads to two things: burnout & an explosion waiting to happen. That’s why this December, I’m following this 4 HR December Self-Care Challenge!
Quick Fix that Sticks!
This holiday season, the ONE thing I’m committed to putting into my schedule is a little time to clear my mind, get my endorphins flowing, and hitting that decompression valve!
In a nutshell: I’ve made appointments on my weekly calendar for exercise. (I have a FREE printable calendar JUST for this purpose! CLICK HERE to get it!)
Think about it like this…
20 minutes, 3 times a week, for the next 4 weeks (basically, the whole month of December) = 4 hours TOTAL.
All you have to do is find FOUR hours throughout the entire MONTH to give to yourself, your sanity, and ultimately to the overall happiness of your holidays.
I don’t DO Workouts
When I think of eliminating holiday stress, I am a big believer that a quick shift of your perspective can do WONDERS for your mental state!
Let’s be clear: When I speak of EXERCISE I’m not talking about joining a gym, doing burpees, or crossfit. No.
I’m saying get that cute butt of yours outside 3 times a week and go for a brisk 20 minute walk with your dog around the neighborhood. Or, listen to your favorite podcast while you get on that treadmill. Hit up Youtube for free yoga during naptime.
You get the picture. It’s not marathon training we’re going for here! Just some release!
20 Minutes, 3 x a week, for 4 weeks!
That’s it. It’s simple, completely doable, and all you need to make it stick is to write it on the calendar. Put pen to paper and make it a priority.
If you need help planning this out and making it a priority, then I’ve got a handy FREE printable calendar you can use!
