Okay, I know Gwyneth Paltrow is polarizing, to say the least. Kind of like Angelina Jolie. But, let’s get real here: If you’re searching for a cookbook that can get you on the path to clean eating, then It’s All Good is what you NEED.
Whatever your feelings are about her (or GOOP), shelve them! ‘Cause there are recipes in this book that will completely change your cooking game and make you a fan for LIFE.
Who knew? This girl can cook! (Shocker, of course she can…sigh.)
If you’re looking for an accessible guide to cooking REAL WHOLE FOODS then It’s All Good won’t disappoint.

The Gist
The recipes are centered on whole foods, nothing processed. Plus, there are only traces of dairy and gluten throughout the entire book.
And, as an added bonus, she only uses natural sweeteners, so NO SUGAR either!
If you’re trying to cut out all the crap from your diet, or maybe you DO want to give gluten free a-go, then this is the book that will help you survive without feeling deprived.
As my girl Gwyn says, “…no matter what you need or want to cut out, for whatever reason, mealtimes should always feel happy. Not like a punishment.”

WHOA—She’s Got 99 Problems, too?
Now, this isn’t about the food — it’s about the human. (And, to be honest, I don’t know if she did this to reel in the haters, or not).
BUT, her intro about her own struggles actually made her, like, a REAL person. I know!
Trust me, it’s definitely worth the read.
Being a mom of a certain age, we all hit that point where we start thinking about changing our food habits. It’s just kind of inevitable. So, getting a little taste of what motivated her to make her own changes made me want to delve into this book.
Real Mom Nation loves authenticity, right?
What I love About It
There are so many little take-aways from this book that I use in my everyday cooking. Like using dates instead of sweetener for smoothies (check out this Skinny Chocolate Elvis Smoothie Recipe), or using Maldon Salt instead of regular sea salt.
Oh, and I can’t possibly forget the gochujang!
Gochujang. I had no idea what this was before this book. If you don’t either, then go forth and change your world today!
Then, of course, there are the amazing recipes that just taste freaking amazing.
Anchovy + Lemon Dressing. Holy crap. When she says, “This stuff is like money in the bank.”, she ain’t lying y’all! This is a STAPLE in my house year round. I put it on everything—grilled fish, winter greens, pasta, salad—hell, I’ve even dipped my pizza crust in this stuff.
Sweet Potato + Five Spice Muffins. Okay, this is a gluten free recipe, but I made it using a combo of whole wheat and regular flour. STILL AMAZING. Plus, they freeze well, and my kids eat them like they AREN’T sweet potato and five spice muffins. LOL.
There’s something for everybody in this book, which is why it will stay on your shelf and get used over and over again. There are some pretty in depth recipes in this book, but there are also SIMPLE recipes that get you hook-line-and-sinker.

Haters Gonna Hate
Whether you love her or hate her (or love to hate her), there’s no two ways about it—It’s All Good is the jam.
This is one of those cookbooks that will make you want to try something new every week because every recipe that you try is THAT good.
If you’re trying to eat better, and you want to do it in a way that won’t just be a fad, then you need to have this as your go-to resource.
TRUTH: It’s All Good is really ALL GOOD.
